An orphaned college footballer, Jared's sporting career was derailed when his mutant powers - an invisible psionic forcefield - surfaced. His apparently ability to shrug off even the hardest tackle led to suspicions he was taking steroids and his refusal to take a drug test (for fear he'd be discovered as a mutant) lost him his scholarship and wound up with him leaving school to become an itinerant bar tender and bouncer while he searched for his mother's family. When he heard of a place in Westchester County that helped mutants, he decided to try his luck. His cocky attitude, poor sense of empathy and confused sexuality won him few friends and after an incident in which he suggested hazing new (blind) student Matt Murdock, he quietly left the school over the summer, hitting the road again.
X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and while we accept new characters we strongly encourage people to adopt one of our orphans.
